PHOTOS: The Little Man of Disneyland Is Getting Ready For Christmas
With the holiday season now officially underway at Disneyland Resort, The Happiest Place on Earth has finalized its transformation into a winter wonderland.
Over the past several days, we have been reporting live from Disneyland, bringing you updates on the festive fun, holiday entertainment, and seasonal snacks that have debuted across the resort.
Now, however, I want to turn your attention back to Disneyland Park, where one of my favorite Christmas displays has returned!
The Little Man of Disneyland
When wandering our way through Adventureland this weekend, we were thrilled to see that The Little Man of Disneyland, aka Patrick Begorra, has finally put out his Christmas decorations.
Little Man of Disneyland: Change of Luck will debut in 2023
For those who don’t know, Patrick Begorra is a leprechaun who lived in the orange groves of Anaheim. According to a 1955 Little Golden Book, one morning, he was Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto walking by with construction tools in hand.
Annoyed by the noisy commotion, Patrick confronted the gang to find out what they were up to.

In time, Mickey and his friends whisked Patrick away on a helicopter ride to the Walt Disney Studio, where he got a firsthand look at the plans for Disneyland. After reviewing Walt’s vision, Begorra finally agreed to let construction on the park move forward.
In return, the leprechaun asked for the chance to pick out a new home in Adventureland. He has happily lived there ever since!
The Leprechaun has Put His Christmas Decorations Up
With Christmas just around the corner, The Little Man of Disneyland has finally put out his holiday decorations!
The leprechaun’s tree is now adorned with a small wreath.
A Christmas tree can be found by the front door.
Finally, a little figure of Jesus is resting near the tree stump. It is unclear whether this is an officially decorated item or if it was placed there by a guest.
