When the Disney Treasure set sail last November, the vessel introduced fans to the Haunted Mansion Parlor, a first-of-its-kind lounge inspired by Disney’s iconic attraction.
Steeping passengers in the theming and lore of the Haunted Mansion, the parlor has been an undisputed hit. Recently, a second version of the venue also debuted aboard the Disney Destiny.
To bring the Haunted Mansion Parlor to life, Imagineers relied on practical effects, including a version of the Pepper’s Ghost effect that has delighted riders for decades, to immerse guests in an unparalleled environment.
The Parlor’s Big Award
In a testament to both the men and women who made the Haunted Mansion Parlor a reality, and the enduring legacy of the original attraction, the lounge was recently recognized with the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement — Themed Food & Beverage Experience by the Themed Entertainment Association.

Inside the Haunted Mansion parlor, guests are invited to a swinging wake unlike any other. The lounge also introduces a new chapter in Haunted Mansion lore, telling the story of a jovial sea captain who met his untimely demise during dinner with his fiancée.
