Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Dock Is Closing Early Next Year For a Refurbishment
Here at MickeyBlog, there are few places we adore more than Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, this resort offers cozy interiors, top-notch amenities, and plenty of rustic charm. Add in its prime location, and it’s easy to see why the resort remains such a fan favorite!
While there is never a bad time to stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the last 18 months have been a period of change for the resort, with numerous refurbishments underway.
The last time we checked in, work on the resort’s exterior was continuing, and window displays had been added to block the construction.
Now, we’re back with another update!
A Wilderness Lodge Dock Refurbishment Is Coming
Earlier today, Walt Disney World announced that the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo refurbishment from January 12, 2026, through early April 2026.
During this time, the dock will be closed.

Additionally, boat transportation will be temporarily suspended from January 12 through January 30.

In lieu of water transportation, buses will run from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom.
Make Sure You Plan Ahead
So, if you plan on visiting Disney’s Wilderness Lodge next year, make sure you plan ahead.
