Disney and the NBA Are Teaming Up For Another ‘Dunk the Halls’ Broadcast This Christmas
For the second straight year, Disney, ESPN, and the NBA are teaming up to present Dunk the Halls on Christmas.
This year’s match-up between the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers will once again take place on Main Street, U.S.A. as Disney presents its second annual real-time, animated NBA game using Sony’s Beyond Sports technology.

On hand for the festivities will be Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. This year, they will be joined by Stitch!
During the broadcast, fans will see iconic landmarks, including Cinderella Castle, transformed with festive decor and snow!
“Mickey’s Christmas wish to Santa Claus once again brings the NBA to Magic Kingdom® for a magical, animated matchup – and this year, the troublemaker Stitch’s arrival turns the celebration upside down. His unpredictable holiday cheer and out-of-this-world energy make for an even more spirited Dunk the Halls adventure,” Disney teased.
Plenty of Christmas Festivities
In addition to the animated basketball game, Dunk the Halls will feature a brand-new Christmas Parade at halftime. The procession will feature floats from Mickey & Minnie, Donald & Daisy, Goofy & Pluto, and Stitch.

Additionally, Daisy Duck will return as the game’s sideline reporter, interviewing NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
The broadcast team will be rounded out by animated versions of Drew Carter and Monica McNutt!

Finally, Santa’s elves will serve as camera operators, while Saint Nick himself will work the Skycam.
I, for one, can’t wait!
