Christmas Trees in the Theme Parks
The first notable tree is the giant one in Magic Kingdom! It’s right in the center of the Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A., and is decorated with classic ornaments and items nostalgic of early 1900s decor.

The tree at Hollywood Studios is vintage-inspired and features nods to the golden age of Hollywood. It’s in Echo Lake and surrounded by giant ornaments, as well as the nearby Dinosaur Gertie with her signature Santa hat.

Finally, at Animal Kingdom, the large tree is located just outside of the park entrance. It has nature-inspired elements and handcrafted details reflecting the park’s wild spirit.

Christmas Trees in the Resort Hotels
You can also find some themed icon trees at the Disney World hotels! Each tree has ornaments and details inspired by the resort where it’s located.
The tallest tree is at Disney’s Contemporary Resort — it’s outside at 70 feet tall, which is even higher than the Monorail!

Other giant trees include the ones at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa…

Craftsmanship Behind the Magic
Disney shared a little bit about what goes into making these trees so special! The decorative ornaments, oversized garland, and tall toppers all help to tell a story that reflects the unique theme and spirit of its home.

The talented decorators of Disney Holiday Services refresh each tree every year, down to the individual branches. They test every twinkling light and polish every ornament to perfection, a process that begins months in advance, making sure that every detail is perfect!

Once the trees are ready, they are carefully transported in sections to their destinations, and then they are assembled by welders and decorators with precision. They work through the night so guests can wake up to the festive trees!
Discovering the Holiday Icon Trees
You can find these icon trees throughout the resort! Some of the fun ones include the Christmas tree outside the American Adventure at EPCOT, which has 13 lanterns representing the original 13 colonies.
