We Tried the Holiday Treats at Grandma’s Recipes Food Booth!

It is time to sip, savor, and sample this holiday season! Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park is happening now through January 7, 2026, and bringing with it nearly 30 new mouthwatering items.

It is the perfect time to explore new flavors and indulge in fan favorites from past years.

We stopped by one of our favorite booths, Grandma’s Recipes, to indulge in some classic eats and drinks.

Grandma’s Recipes Food Booth

We love all the amazing festival foods and had to stop by this popular location in California Adventure to try some of their food and drinks. This booth is known for its traditional flavors and amazing offerings.

First, we tried the Barbacoa Tamal de Res with Oaxaca Cheese, Tomatillo Salsa and Crema for $9.75. 

This was delicious and hot fresh out of the pot. It is served with soft, warm tamal with tender beef barbacoa and melted Oaxaca cheese. It was perfectly cheesy and a great combo of flavors!

Next, we satisfied our sweet tooth with the Cookie Dough Yule Log for $8.50.

This treat is filled with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and White Chocolate Mousse and covered with Chocolate Buttercream. 

This is a very rich, chocolatey mousse paired with a delicious, sweet buttercream. It tastes great, and our only suggestion? It would be great if served with milk.

To drink, we tried the Café de Olla Cold Brew for $7.75.

This coffee drink features Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co.® Mexico Origin Coffee, Whole & Condensed Milk, and House-made Spiced Piloncillo Syrup.

It is topped with a Chocolate Dulce de Leche Sweet Cream and garnished with a Mini Pan Dulce. 

This is a nice cinnamon-spiced cold brew, served with sweetened condensed milk and accompanied by a mini Mexican sweet bread.

It was a nice combo of sweet and spice, perfect for the holidays, and the sweetbread was perfect.

These delicious treats are available now during the festival and are included with the Sip and Savor pass. Be sure to try it on your next visit.
