The Great Movie Ride’s ‘Footlight Parade’ Dancers Return to Hollywood Studios
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog this past week, you know that the holiday season has arrived at Walt Disney World.
Over the past ten days, we have seen festive decor installed across The Most Magical Place on Earth as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights both returned last weekend.

As Disney World continues its transformation into a winter wonderland, the resort has come alive with holly jolly magic.

With that in mind, I want to turn your attention back to Hollywood Studios, where a Christmas miracle has occurred!
The Great Movie Ride Busby Berkeley Dancers Have Returned
When visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios this week, we were delighted to see that three of the mannequins from The Great Movie Ride have been repurposed as holiday decorations and installed at Keystone Clothiers.

For those who may not remember, these figures were originally found in The Great Movie Ride’s Footlight Parade scene.
Recreating Busby Berkeley’s “By a Waterfall” scene, the figures were the first stars that guests saw when riding The Great Movie Ride.

The Great Movie Ride
“One of Hollywood’s significant contributions to the world of film was musicals. This scene is from one of my favorites, the 1933 Busby Berkeley spectacular ‘Footlight Parade,'” Robert Osborne told riders as they passed the scene.

Since The Great Movie Ride closed in 2018, they have obviously been missing.
It is great to see the figures back home at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World this holiday season.
