Just a few months ago, Disney traveling got a lot easier and more convenient!
Walt Disney World had introduced a new luggage transfer service for guests staying at the five Disney Value Resort hotels.

If you’re flying Southwest Airlines from Orlando International Airport (MCO), you can drop off your checked baggage at your hotel and have it sent directly to your flight, saving you time and hassle on your departure day.
The service has now expanded to include arrivals and departures with Southwest Airlines.
How the Luggage Transfer Service Works
This service is designed to make Southwest travel smoother by allowing guests to send their bags to and from the airport.

How It Works – Arriving at Walt Disney World Resort
Send your bags ahead to your participating Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Simply follow these steps:
1. Fill out the registration form for the Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney service anytime from 30 days to 5 days prior to your departure flight. You will need your Disney Resort confirmation number and your Southwest Airlines confirmation number when you register. You will receive a confirmation email after registering.
2. Check in to your flight online as normal and pay any necessary baggage fees.
3. Head to the airport and follow the Southwest Airlines procedure to drop off your luggage.
4. Enjoy your flight.
5. Upon arrival at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and head directly to Walt Disney World Resort. Your luggage will arrive at your Resort hotel in under 4 hours.

How It Works – Leaving Walt Disney World Resort
Save time at the airport by sending your bags ahead to Southwest Airlines at Orlando International Airport. Simply follow these steps:
1. Check in for your Southwest Airlines flight online starting 24 hours prior to departure and pay any necessary baggage fees via the Southwest mobile app or online.
2. Drop off your bags at Luggage Assistance in the Resort hotel lobby area by the required drop-off time. Please be aware that you will need to provide a valid government-issued form of photo identification in order to drop off your bags. You can also call Luggage Assistance from your in-room telephone to ask for help with your bags. For a smoother experience, leave all inbound tags on your bags.
3. Head to the airport, skip the check-in line, enjoy your flight, and pick up your bags at baggage claim when you arrive at your final destination.

For the best experience, Disney recommends that guests drop off their bags the night before their flight.
However, same-day drop-offs are available:
- Flights Before 1:00 PM – Drop off bags by 1:00 AM the night before.
- Flights After 1:00 PM – Drop off at least 4 hours before departure or no later than 1:00 PM.
