Country Songs That Shaped Disney Films
Fans of Country music, get ready! Country Music’s Biggest Night is almost here, and the 59th Annual CMA Awards air live on Wednesday, November 19, on ABC.

To celebrate, Disney recently shared a look at the standout moments and fan-fave memories when country songs played a key role in Disney films.

Robin Hood

Roger Miller wrote several songs for the 1973 classic and voiced Allan-a-Dale. His track “Oo-de-lally” still stands as one of Disney’s most memorable folk-style country tunes.
Toy Story

Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” debuted with Toy Story in 1995. A special duet version features Newman and CMA nominee Lyle Lovett.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas

Disney
The 1999 holiday film includes “Deck the Halls” performed by SHeDAISY. The group was nominated for a CMA Horizon Award in 2000.
O Brother, Where Art Thou?

This 2000 release features “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow” by The Soggy Bottom Boys. The soundtrack won CMA Album of the Year and Single of the Year in 2001.
Home on the Range

The 2004 soundtrack includes “Wherever the Trail May Lead” sung by Tim McGraw, who earned multiple CMA honors that same year.
