Disney StudioLAB Head Alice Taylor Is Leaving the Company For the BBC
We have another shakeup at the top of The Walt Disney Company, as Disney StudioLAB head and Director of Technological Innovation Alice Taylor is leaving the company to join BBC Studios.
For those who don’t know, Disney StudioLAB is an innovation and technology hub within The Walt Disney Studios.

The unit was established in 2018 to explore and integrate emerging technologies into Disney’s filmmaking process.
Comprised primarily of engineers, producers, and technologists, Disney StudioLAB has been tasked with pioneering new ways of storytelling, and for 10 years, Taylor has served as its leader.
However, the executive is now returning to the United Kingdom.
Taylor’s New Role
In her new role at BBC Studios, Taylor will be tasked with leading the AI Creative Lab, seeking to “bring together AI specialists, creative talent, and producers to explore how AI can unlock new possibilities, from concept development to production workflows.”

“Alice brings a rare blend of creative vision and technical expertise, and we’re thrilled to welcome her back to the BBC. Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping how we use AI to tell stories in bold, imaginative ways, while staying true to our editorial values and creative integrity,” BBC Productions head Zai Bennett added.
What About Her Replacement at Disney?
At this time, Disney has not announced who will replace the exiting executive as Director of Technological Innovation.
