Typhoon Lagoon Will Be Closed Tomorrow as Central Florida Is Unseasonably Cold
With the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights in the rearview mirror, the holiday season has officially arrived at Walt Disney World.
While traditionally, a Disney World holiday celebration includes temperate weather and plenty of sunshine, it is unseasonably cold in Central Florida this week.

As we previously reported, Disney World is experiencing highs in the low 60s and lows in the 30s throughout the first half of the week.

With that cold weather, we now have our first operational change to the resort.
Typhoon Lagoon Will Close Tomorrow
According to an update on the Walt Disney World website and the My Disney Experience app, Typhoon Lagoon will not open tomorrow.

While at least one Walt Disney World water park remains open year-round, they will occasionally close in the winter.
Looking to tomorrow, the high in Walt Disney World will only be 56 degrees. Throughout much of the day, temperatures will be in the high 40s or low 50s.

Needless to say, it is not exactly water park weather.
Warm Temperatures Are on the Horizon
The good news for Disney World guests is that temperatures are set to warm up. By Thursday, highs will be back in the 70s!

So, while the cold weather and closure of Typhoon Lagoon may necessitate some changes to your Disney World vacation, you will still get the opportunity to have some fun in the sun later this week.
