The Disney Destiny’s ‘Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King’ Promises a Dining Experience Unlike Any Other
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know how eagerly we have been awaiting the debut of the Disney Destiny.
The latest addition to the Disney fleet, the Destiny draws inspiration from Disney’s timeless stories, with a particular focus on the heroes and villains that fans have come to know and love.

With the ship set to be christened tonight, we are learning more about the vessel.
The last time we checked in, we celebrated as the Destiny arrived in Port Everglades.

Now, we are back with another update!
‘Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King’
Ahead of the Disney Destiny’s christening and preview sailing, the Disney Cruise Line has shared a first look at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King!

A unique experience to the Disney Destiny, Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, allows guests to step into the circle of life and enter the African Savannah.

After walking down an entry hall, diners find themselves in a stylized version of a Boba, where families and communities have gathered to eat, sing, and tell stories for generations.
A Unique Setting
The dining area itself is a celebration of animals and nature, which come to life through lighting and special effects.
Finally, a magical wall of windows displays rotating scenes of sunrises and sunsets throughout the meal.

At the center of the venue, tiered risers resemble African drums and serve as the stage for live entertainment.
Life Performances of Your Favorite ‘Lion King Songs’
Throughout Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, a colorful ensemble of live musicians and storytellers retells the tale of The Lion King.

The band and performers even play favorite songs on authentic African instruments.
The set includes:
- Productions of “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata.”
- A mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared,” a fun take that highlights the hero-villain dynamic of the story.
- An instrumental version of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” paired with a beautiful interpretive dance.
- A moving rendition of “He Lives in You” from the sequel film and Broadway show.
The Food
Finally, let’s talk food! Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King‘s menu features a wide range of flavors and African Cuisine!

The menu also includes authentic spice blends, regional sauces, and customary grains and produce.

For guests on longer cruises, a second menu will also be utilized.

I, for one, can’t wait to see the dining experience come to life aboard the Disney Destiny!
