Let’s Explore The Wakanda-Inspired Grand Hall on Disney Destiny
Magic is happening! We are on board the Disney Destiny this week, bringing you a first look at the amazing new offerings coming to Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship!
One of the best and most dramatic spaces of any Disney Cruise Line ship is the Grand Hall, and Disney has created a whole new look for its latest cruise ship.
Let’s check it out!
The Grand Hall
The striking three-story Grand Hall is inspired by Marvel Studios’ Black Panther films.
For most of the day, the Grand Hall will be bright and optimistic, but at any moment, it may morph into a mythical realm of mystery.
Here is a look at the stage area!
The God of Mischief (aka Loki) is featured in the Grand Hall, surrounded by neon lights, lasers, and special effects. You never know where or when Loki may appear.
Rumor has it he may recruit unsuspecting guests for a surprise competition!
In addition, the hall is influenced by amazing costumes and movie elements found in Wakanda. You can see their influence in the space!
Guests can expect show-stopping effects and technical elements that bring the room to life with light, sound, and color. The best part? Presiding over the Grand Hall will be a stunning statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther: King of Wakanda.
The black panther statue was a real model they used to create the larger one for the atrium.
On the carpet, you can see some black panthers!

There is also a chandelier inspired by fictional metal vibranium from Wakanda! This creates the perfect ambience.

So many things to see, but be on the lookout for more villains! Dr. Facilier may be lurking around the Grand Hall, or maybe a surprise visit from Spider-Man!
