Come With Us to the Christening of the Disney Destiny!
The time has finally arrived — the Disney Destiny is here! Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship is setting sail this evening for a special preview, and we were invited by Disney to check out the ship, so we’re bringing you along with us.
But first, the ship has to be christened! So, let’s go to the christening ceremony.

We were lucky enough to attend the christening tonight in Fort Lauderdale, but it was also live-streamed to everyone online!

There was a christening party down at the port!

Back down on land, the ceremony was getting started. The stage was set for some special guests!
Soon enough, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Josh D’Amaro showed up alongside Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences.
They welcomed everyone and introduced some fun music!
The live music was played in front of a huge drone show happening above the Disney Destiny.

Then, Susan Egan, Godparent of the Disney Destiny and voice of Megara from Hercules, showed up to christen the ship!
Mickey and Minnie were there as well.
Susan was the one who officially christened the ship!
