Come Along With Us From Orlando to Fort Lauderdale on Brightline
Brightline is the way to go for easy cruise travel, especially from Orlando. It has become a popular way to reach your Disney Cruise destination, and travelers are raving about the experience.
Linking travelers from Orlando International Airport to Fort Lauderdale provides a 3-hour trip that is easy, convenient, and, not to mention, fun.

MickeyBlog recently checked out the Brightline experience on our way to a preview of Disney Destiny, and here’s what we thought.
Easy Travel
I’m not sure about you, but we are always looking for easy ways to travel and a streamlined experience.

Brightline definitely delivers! You board in Orlando and relax all the way to Fort Lauderdale.

The ride is smooth, the seats are wide, and the entire experience feels easy from start to finish.

The best part? You avoid long highway drives, traffic stress, and parking hassles, so you can focus on your trip.
Seating Area
You have two ticket options: SMART and PREMIUM. SMART is a comfortable business class, while PREMIUM is a first-class service with additional amenities.
The SMART seating area is quite comfortable, featuring multiple chairs, tables, and workstations. There are smaller stores and quick-service food and drink options available.
Travelers have the option to relax at the bar before boarding!
Premium Lounge
We chose to upgrade to PREMIUM and enjoy various amenities, including priority check-in and checked baggage drop-off, complimentary bites and sips, priority boarding in Orlando, and more.
You also have access to the PREMIUM Lounge featuring comfortable seating, complimentary bites and sips, power outlets at every seat, and free Wi-Fi.

Multiple chairs, tables, and USB ports provide plenty of space to relax, unwind, or work.

Enjoy cookies, treats, and other sweets.

There is also coffee, water, soda, and juice.

Beer and alcoholic beverages are also available.

It feels ultra relaxed as you board early, settle into your seat, and enjoy the upgrade.

The seating is comfortable and spacious, featuring single seats on one side and multiple seats on the opposite side. SMART seating has 19-inch leather seats, and PREMIUM offers larger 21-inch leather seats.

There is plenty of space above for your suitcases and bags.

PREMIUM seating includes food and drinks during the ride, providing you with even more value. SMART can purchase on-board snacks and drinks.

There are plenty of great offerings, and don’t forget dessert…

… and snacks!

Merchandise
While we were checking out the station and waiting to board, we also took a look at the merchandise.

You can shop while you wait for Brightline toys, apparel, accessories, and home items.

These small extras add fun to the journey and give travelers something to enjoy before boarding at the vatious stations
Fort Lauderdale
We arrived in Fort Lauderdale, where the station is modern and simple to navigate. You collect your bags and head outside to check out Fort Lauderdale or head to the port.

Fort Lauderdale is a great city and is easy to get around.
For our trip, we arrived the night before and stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa.

We quickly got to our hotel and checked in. Check out these views:

The ocean-view room was relaxing and gave us a perfect start to getting into cruise vacation mode.

The hotel has a Starbucks in the lobby, and it’s about 15 minutes from the port, depending on traffic.

The rooms were comfortable and spacious with great proximity to the city fun, and the port!

It is the perfect place for a one-night stay before your sailing.
Disney Destiny Expo
We woke up early the next day to attend an Expo before boarding Disney Destiny.

After checking in, we received our Preview Cruise Badges.

And received great info and postcards about Fort Lauderdale!

We also received this Guided Tour booklet to help guide our experience.

Here is a look at the inside:

And a breakdown of the ship, along with some fun facts!

There was a lot of great information about the city and the beautiful Marriott Resort.

After the expo, we made our way over to the port to begin our Disney adventure!

A Great Option
We would definitely take Brightline again and recommend arriving the night before in Fort Lauderdale- it is a great option.

Brightline makes travel feel simple, and the ride from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale easily fits into your travel plans. This is the perfect way to kick off your vacation.
