Heroes & Veterans Day Event Hosted by Starbucks Downtown Disney This Weekend
While Starbucks may be drawing big crowds for their festive drinks and must-have tumblers during this start of the holiday season, we’re proud to see they’re not forgetting that November is also a time for honor and remembrance.
During a weekend visit to Disneyland, our MickeyBloggers spotted a beautiful event that was being held in the Downtown Disney District Starbucks location, gathering in honor of military veterans. We took some photos to show you what was taking place – so keep reading, and let’s go get involved!

Starbucks Heroes & Veterans Day Event
As we approached the large Starbucks location, we noticed that clouds of red, white, and blue balloons hung in the air, with even more beautiful colors shining patriotically from tables.

Looking at a poster, we learned that a “Heroes and Veterans Day Event” was underway, with Starbucks inviting “all first responders, active military, and veterans in our community for a gathering to honor those who serve, protect, and keep America safe”.

Of course, you can’t have a gathering without some decorations, and we loved to see that each table around the area had a vase with carnation flowers perched on top.

Also in each vase were flags to commemorate each individual branch of the US military and first response services.

The event took place here at Starbucks between the hours of 8am and 2pm this past Saturday, November 8th.
During these hours, the main indoor order station was closed. Instead, a series of free refreshments was being served up outside!

Complimentary coffee, pastries, and other treats were available to guests, as well as some patriotic merchandise for guests to take for free.

Flags and “thank you” stickers were available to any guest wishing to show their respect, and the atmosphere around the gathering was very proud and patriotic!

We always love to see different pop-up events take place here at Downtown Disney, but noble commemorations like this one will always stand out as our favorite.

We’ll be keeping a close eye out to see if similar events take place during this month of remembrance, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog for all the latest news as we learn it!
