We Tried the Hickory Holiday Mac and Jolly Jam Slider at Backlot Express!

Happy Holidays! MickeyBlog is live at the first night of Disney Jollywood Nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, bringing you a first look at the amazing entertainment, seasonal offerings, and delicious treats at this special event.

We are stopping by Backlot Express to check out 2 bold new dishes: the Hickory Holiday Mac and the Jolly Jam Slider. The savory treats are the perfect mix of comfort food with a seasonal twist.

Hickory Holiday Mac

This Hickory Holiday Mac costs $6.49 and is available at Backlot Express. The new bite features mac and cheese with burnt ends, crispy onions, and chili pepper sauce.

This tasty treat starts off with a sweet BBQ flavor and finishes with a spicy kick. The smoky flavor is very good, and the crispy onions and spices give great flavor and crunch. It is not overly spicy, and we enjoyed this!

Jolly Jam Slider

We also tried the Jolly Jam Slider for $6.29, which is exclusively created for Jollywood Nights. The Angus burger slider comes topped with a bourbon-garlic-bacon jam, as well as a drizzle of smoky paprika aioli and a chili pepper sauce.

All this on a Hawaiian roll, ready to fuel our Jollywood celebrations! The meat is slightly dry and overcooked, but the sauce and bacon jam are very good. The Hawaiian roll is perfectly sweet, and the burger is smoky, creating a nice balance!
