Arepas de Choclo
Ever since we got our first look at the Jollywood Nights Foodie Guide, our reporters have been carefully planning which delicious menu items we’d be trying at tonight’s event.
With each dish exclusively available for Jollywood guests, we didn’t want to miss out on any of the treats – which is why we’ve made our way over to KRNR The Rock Station right now!
Brand-new on the menu for this year’s Jollywood season is the Arepas de Choclo, which are sweet corn cakes stuffed with cheese. Served with a jícama slaw and topped with cilantro aioli, these arepas sounded fresh and tasty, and we didn’t hesitate to place our order right away!
So, how does it taste?
Our Review
I am pleased to report that we loved the Arepas de Choclo.
The corn cake alone was a little bit sweet, but the aioli was really tasty, and the slaw gave the entire dessert an outstanding balance.
Taken together, it was a harmonious, scrumptious treat!
