Festive Filming is Underway at Magic Kingdom Today!
There’s quite a cheer in the air at the Magic Kingdom today, and it’s for a very merry reason!
The park is covered in beautiful holiday decorations, and film crews are positioned in anticipation for an extra-special event which guests aren’t going to want to miss.

Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
If you’ve been following along with us here at merry MickeyBlog, you’ll know that last night was the first official Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event of 2025!
All throughout the night, we enjoyed delicious treats, exclusive character meets, and a schedule full of fantastic entertainment to truly get us into the holiday spirit. It was a fabulous party, and we loved sharing all our reviews right here on the blog!
For many guests, one of the absolute highlights of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is its fan-favorite parade event. Entitled “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade,” this spectacular procession is only available for guests holding tickets to the evening parties, making it an extra-exclusive offering here at the park.
However, for today only, this stunning parade will actually make a rare daytime performance – and that’s exactly why we’re here at the Magic Kingdom once again this afternoon!
Festive Filming!
Today, filming is underway for the Disney Parks Holiday Special program, and it’s all happening right here at Magic Kingdom.
As you can see from our photos, extra Christmas trees have been planted around Cinderella Castle, as well as some snazzy, ear-wearing disco balls that are catching the Orlando winter sun so beautifully!
So, any guests planning a visit to the Magic Kingdom today can expect to be met with quite the flurry of activity, as cameras and filming crews will be lining Main Street, U.S.A. in time for this very special event.
The parade itself will take place at 2pm.
Remember – this is a rare opportunity for guests without Very Merry Christmas Party tickets to enjoy this exclusive parade, so be sure to get your spot on Main Street with plenty of time to enjoy the performance!
