The Storybook Land Canal Boats Will Reopen Next Week With a New ‘Tangled’ Scene
For 70 years now, the Storybook Land Canal Boats have been delighting and enchanting guests at Disneyland Park.
Born out of Walt Disney’s love for miniatures, the attraction was initially known as Canal Boats of the World and took guests on a scenic cruise past some of the world’s most notable landmarks.

Quickly, however, the attraction was reworked into a magical tour of Disney’s films, placing guests inside vignettes based on Snow White, Cinderella, The Wind in the Willows, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, the Old Mill, and The Three Little Pigs.
Over the years, new scenes based on Disney animated classics such as Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen have been added to the Storybook Land Canal Boats.
A New ‘Tangled’ Scene Is Coming
Last month, we brought you the exciting news that the Storybook Land Canal Boats would reopen later this summer with a new scene inspired by Tangled!
Between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall, guests will pass Rapunzel’s Tower, surrounded by lush foliage and colorful blooms.
Alongside the iconic turret, the Tangled scene will feature plenty of fun Easter eggs, including wanted posters for Flynn Rider, each with a hilariously different take on his nose!

Finally, when the boats pass by during the daytime, guests will hear a whimsical arrangement of “When Will My Life Begin?”

At night, “I See the Light” will emanate from Rapunzel’s tower as winking lights flicker overhead.
The Attraction Will Reopen Next Week
While Disney previously announced that the Storybook Land Canal Boats would return this winter, we can now report that the attraction will officially return on November 14, 2025.
So, if you are a Disneyland fan, get ready! The new and improved Storybook Land Canal Boats will be here next week!
