Santa Claus Will Meet Guests in a NEW Location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios This Year
Late last month, we brought you the somewhat confusing news that Ariel had moved out of her home at Walt Disney Presents to a new location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
At the time, all we knew was that the Meet Ariel at Walt Disney Presents experience would be temporarily unavailable while the meet-and-greet area underwent refurbishment.
Now, we finally know why the change occurred.
Here Comes Santa Claus
A new update to the Walt Disney World website and the My Disney Experience app has revealed that guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be able to meet Santa Claus inside Walt Disney Presents this year.

The Santa character experience will debut on November 8 and continue through December 24.
In years past, Santa Claus has met guests in It’s A Wonderful Shop on Grand Avenue.
The year-round Christmas store failed to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic and was instead transformed into a seasonal meet-and-greet location.
However, with It’s A Wonderful Shop now closed, along with the rest of the former Muppets Courtyard, Santa has to set up shop somewhere new this year.
Thankfully, Walt Disney Presents will fit the bill nicely!
Will Hollywood Studios Use a Virtual Queue?
Traditionally, the Santa Claus meet-and-greet has used a virtual queue. At this time, however, Hollywood Studios has not announced if that will be true again this year.
