NAME and OPENING DATE Revealed For the New Birdcage Bar at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Earlier this year, Walt Disney World shared the exciting news that the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort would be undergoing a massive overhaul.
According to Disney, the goal of the new lobby redesign is to give the space a fresh update while preserving the familiar charm and aesthetic that guests know and love.

To achieve this, the lobby’s furniture, staircase, and front desk will be reimagined with botanical touches and warm, inviting colors, creating what Disney describes as an “airy, garden-like atmosphere.”
When the refurbishment is complete, the Grand Floridian lobby will showcase elegant new carpeting adorned with Victorian-inspired borders and scrollwork, featuring hand-drawn florals reminiscent of turn-of-the-century botanical illustrations.
The updated furniture will incorporate a blend of luxurious fabrics and polished brass accents, while subtle design elements inspired by Florida’s natural beauty and classic Victorian décor will add an extra touch of charm.
Finally, the lobby’s birdcage structure has been removed to make way for a new lobby bar!

Introducing The Perch at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Earlier today, reporter Scott Gustin took to X and announced that the new Grand Floridian lobby bar will be named The Perch at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa!

Additionally, the bar will reportedly open on November 10!
Drawing inspiration from the birdcage that called the Floridan home for decades, the new bar is sure to be a popular spot for resort guests.
