Shanghai Disney Resort Celebrates the Release of ‘Zootopia 2’!
Get ready for a roar-ing good time! Shanghai Disney Resort is going all out for the global celebration of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2.
Starting on November 18, the park will transform its beloved Zootopia land, celebrating the sequel.

A Unique Celebration

Partnering with Disney Animation, Imagineers have reimagined the land to fully bring the sequel to life.
“Since opening in 2023, Zootopia has become one of our most beloved experiences,” said Andrew Bolstein, President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort. “To celebrate Zootopia 2, we’ve worked closely with Disney Animation to extend the story into immersive experiences across the land.”

Judy & Nick’s All-New Looks

Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return in new Zootopia 2 outfits during the daily Mickey’s Storybook Express parade from November 18, 2025, to January 27, 2026.
Beginning November 19, they will also show off their best attire in Zootennial Gala fashions at the Main Entrance Portal. This is the first and only offering of the gala looks in any Disney park.
Judy and Nick’s fun continues Inside Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, where fans can spot clues from the sequel. Look for fun Easter eggs like Judy’s case files and Nick’s undercover gear.
New Districts and Characters

The story expands into Marsh Market, the lively new district featured in Zootopia 2 where you can find cool nods to the area in new signage, maps, and posters throughout the land.
A new character, pit viper Gary De’Snake, makes his debut around the park and in the “Disney Zootopia Comes Alive” street show.

Other characters will pop up in new ways, including portraits of Mayor Brian Winddancer in the ZPD, Dr. Fuzzby’s counseling room, and Fru Fru’s family updates.
These creative elements weave the film’s story into every corner of the park.
Music, Food, and Merch

Music has always been a special part of Zootopia and Gazelle’s new song “Zoo,” performed by Shakira, debuts in the park with a refreshed finale scene inside Zootopia: Hot Pursuit from November 19 through January 27.
The track will also feature in a nighttime castle projection show alongside “Try Everything.”

The park is also dropping special themed items that fans will love. Guests can enjoy 14 limited-edition park tickets designed as Zootopia name cards.

Then indulge in new themed treats like fish-inspired snacks from Marsh Market and Gary-themed cotton candy before checking out the limited-edition merchandise and stylish apparel from Fashion by Fru Fru, including Nick’s tropical shirt and a Gary crossbody bag.
Photo Ops and Seasonal Fun
Smile and pose in front of a giant Judy Hopps floral display and new ice sculptures featuring Gary, Nibbles, and Dr. Fuzzby celebrate the winter season.
Each night, the Enchanted Storybook Castle will light up with special Zootopia projections before “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration.”
