Disney World Testing a Merchandise Search Engine Through Mobile App
Disney World is filled with a wide variety of fun merchandise items, from Minnie Ears to designer bags, Spirit Jerseys to bubble wands. Some items are more popular than others, and they can sell out quickly!
And now, Disney is testing a feature that would make it much easier to find certain merchandise items across Disney World.
Merchandise Search Testing in My Disney Experience
A select few My Disney Experience app users have been invited to test out a new feature — ‘Find Merchandise.’ This basically allows you to search in the app to see if certain items are available at World of Disney in Disney Springs.

If you were selected to test this, you can click ‘try it out’ and then be taken to this search page where you can look for specific products.

Pick a product, and it will say ‘check shop availability.’

Then, it will show if that product is in stock or not at World of Disney in Disney Springs!

You can also look at the map to see where World of Disney is located. Since this is in testing, it’s just showing World of Disney at Disney Springs right now, but I’d assume this would expand to show every store on the map where a certain item is located.

We used to have a similar feature to this available in app form, but it’s been gone for a while, so hopefully this version makes it out of testing! Ideally, you’d be able to search for a specific item and see everywhere it’s in stock around Disney World.
