Josh D’Amaro Celebrates the Disney Destiny’s Arrival in Port Canaveral
If you’re a regular reader here at MickeyBlog, you already know how thrilled we are for the debut of the Disney Destiny.
The newest ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Destiny, is inspired by Disney’s most iconic stories and celebrates the beloved heroes and villains that fans have cherished for generations.

With just seventeen days to go until the ship makes its maiden voyage, anticipation continues to build.
The Disney Destiny Is Almost Ready
Over the last couple of weeks, we have been following Disney Destiny’s progress as the ship made its way to Port Canaveral.

During that time, we brought you updates on the new statues unveiled aboard the ship, Disney’s plans for the Haunted Mansion Parlor, the Destiny’s grand arrival in Florida, and the upcoming plans for its christening.
Now, we are back with another update!
Josh D’Amaro Lauds the Ship and Its Crew
Late this evening, Disney Experiences chairman Josh D’Amaro took to Instagram to share his experience seeing the Disney Destiny in person.

“Stepping aboard the Disney Destiny today in Port Canaveral was a thrill,” he wrote “The crew are excited, the ship is beautiful, and I can’t wait to christen her next week in Port Everglades. The momentum behind Disney Cruise Line has been nothing short of extraordinary—and we’re just getting started.”

In his post, D’Amaro shared photos of the ship’s crew, the cast of Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, and, of course, Superhero Minnie!
