Enchanting Extras at Disney World Resorts

Guided Fishing Excursions

When it comes to a Disney World vacation, it’s all too easy to fixate on the flashy, exciting experiences. After all, it’s pretty hard to ignore those thrill rides, fireworks, and special effects, right?

But the truth is that there’s another side to Disney World — a quiet, peaceful side that tends to fly under the radar. 

Wondering what I mean? This first Enchanting Extra option is the perfect example!

If you’re all about the simple things, why not embark on a Guided Fishing Excursion on your next Disney vacation?

With this Enchanting Extras option, you’ll cruise one of Disney World’s beautiful waterways as you enjoy a catch-and-release angling experience.

For your Guided Bass Fishing Excursion, you can opt for a 2-hour or 4-hour session aboard a Sun Tracker Fishin Barge pontoon boat (up to 5 guests) or a tournament-style NITRO bass fishing boat (accommodating up to 3 guests). 

Currently, a 2-hour excursion costs $299, while a 4-hour excursion costs $499, due in full at the time of booking. The cost includes an experienced guide, rod and reel, tackle, artificial and/or live bait (NITRO boats do not offer live bait), and assorted Coca-Cola beverages.

Cabana Rentals and Poolside Patios

In case you’re unaware, a Disney World vacation doesn’t have to be exhausting (unless you want it to be, of course!). Between rope drop strategies and Extended Evening Hours, it can seem like the only way to do Disney World is from sunup to sundown.

Fortunately, a Disney World vacation doesn’t need to be a marathon — and there are PLENTY of ways to relax, if you know where to look!  

Unsurprisingly, Disney World’s incredible resort pools are a FANTASTIC place to kick back and unwind.

But if you’re staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club Resort, or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ll have access to a little extra luxury!

With a Cabana or Poolside Patio Rental, you’ll enjoy a FULL pool day in your furnished, shaded retreat. 

Prices and amenities vary by resort, but you can expect to pay somewhere around $350 per day for a Cabana Rental and about $100 per day for a Poolside Patio (available only at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort).

What’s Included?

In addition to comfortable furniture and some much-needed shade, cabanas generally include ceiling fans, televisions, snacks, and a mini fridge stocked with complimentary sodas and water. Cocktail service is also available at an additional charge. 

Meanwhile, Poolside Patios offer a shaded lounge area with towels and comfortable lounge furniture. You won’t get snacks or other amenities here (which reflects their lower price point), though cocktail service is available at an additional charge.

So if your dream vacation includes top-tier service and drinks by the pool, be sure to make your reservation well in advance. Cabana Rentals and Poolside Patios are ONLY available to guests staying at each respective resort — but they still book up astoundingly fast!

Unlike other Enchanting Extra options, cabanas and poolside patios cannot be secured through your MyDisneyExperience app. Instead, you’ll need to call Disney directly at (407) WDW-PLAY to secure your spot.

Celebration at The Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

When you set off for a Disney vacation, you know that there are plenty of magical moments in store! But perhaps no Disney World experience is quite as unforgettable as Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After Nighttime Spectacular.

Of course, there are lots of incredible places in and around Magic Kingdom to view the show. 

Still, if you’re looking for a truly spectacular way to take it all in, there’s no better choice than Celebration at the Top: Sip, Savor, Sparkle!

Located at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Celebration at the Top is a fun-filled cocktail party with epic views of Magic Kingdom and its iconic fireworks show.

The experience will cost you $169 per person plus tax and gratuity, and includes a selection of delicious eats — like sushi, small plates, and fan-favorite appetizers from the California Grill menu.

When the fireworks begin, you’ll head outside to the viewing deck to enjoy the show from one of the best vantage points Disney World has to offer!

Colors of Coronado Painting Experience at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

There’s nothing quite like Disney magic to get your creative juices flowing! And over at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, you have the chance to express yourself through the magic of art!

At the top of the resort’s luxurious Gran Destino Tower sits Toledo – Tapas, Steaks, & Seafood. Here, guests can enjoy a delicious rooftop meal — OR try their hand at painting at the Colors of Coronado Painting Experience!

Priced at $45 per person (plus tax), this 2-hour art class features a new Disney-inspired theme each month.

Led by local artists, guests will follow along together to create a magical masterpiece all their own. When you’re done, you’ll take home your 11″ X 14″ painting — a unique souvenir you’ll treasure for years to come.

The Colors of Coronado Painting Experience runs every Friday between 1 PM and 3PM. Availability is limited, and advance reservations are highly recommended, so snag your spot ahead of time through the MyDisneyExperience app.

Fireworks Cruises

In case you missed it, there are LOTS of ways to watch the fireworks in Disney World. From the sidewalks of Main Street U.S.A. to exclusive dessert parties, there are always plenty of options for a fabulous fireworks viewing experience!

When you book a fireworks cruise, you’ll choose between Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and Luminous: The Symphony of Us at EPCOT.

On the night of your booking, you’ll climb aboard a private watercraft and set sail for one of Disney’s most incredible fireworks experiences!

Depending on which option you choose, your cruise will explore either the Seven Seas Lagoon near Magic Kingdom or the waters near EPCOT’s International Gateway.

If you’ve ever visited Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds, you already know that this rustic retreat offers far more than peace and quiet!

Unsurprisingly, this Disney World oasis is a fantastic place to unwind after a busy day in the parks. But if you’re looking for adventure and entertainment, you certainly won’t have to look far!

Whether you’re in the mood for some silly shenanigans at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or you’re ready to enjoy the simple things in life, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort has got you covered.

Case in point? The Fort Wilderness Archery Experience! 

If you thought that Disney World was all bells, whistles, and pyrotechnics, you may be happy to know that there are also plenty of opportunities for good old-fashioned fun.

At the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience, guests 7 and over will learn how to use a compound bow, then test their skills at target practice (Merida would be proud!).

The 75-minute class is limited to only 10 guests per session, allowing for personalized instruction and attention.

Horseback Trail Riding at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Archery isn’t the only Enchanting Extra you’ll find at Fort Wilderness! In fact, this resort offers more Enchanting Extra options than any other Disney World resort!

In case you missed it, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is home to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, which houses a variety of beautiful horses (including Cinderella’s Ponies and the horses of Main Street U.S.A.)!

Whether you’re an experienced rider or an aspiring equestrian, this is THE place to be for Horseback Riding in Disney World!

Yup, it’s true! At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, guests 9 and older can mount up for a ride through the resort’s beautiful woodland paths. 

Designed for beginner and intermediate riders, this family-friendly trail ride offers an easy, steady pace through a picturesque woodland setting.

This incredible Enchanting Extra costs $65 per person plus tax, and is available most days at Tri-Circle-D Ranch. Walk-ups are sometimes available, but advance reservations are always recommended.

Pony Rides at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Horseback Trail Riding is only offered for guests 9 and up — but if your little ones are ready to ride, we have good news for you! Pony Rides are also available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and they’re PERFECT for kids aged three to nine!

To check out this fun-filled Enchanting Extra, simply head over to Pioneer Hall, where you’ll find a stable full of sweet petite ponies.

Here, young riders can enjoy a pony ride for just $10 (plus tax). The stable is open daily, and reservations are not necessary.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride

Need even MORE horses in your life? This next Enchanting Extras option is elegant, relaxing, and totally magical.

At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds and Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside, guests can embark on a scenic horse-drawn carriage ride through Disney’s most beautiful resorts!

At Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside, your 25-minute carriage ride will depart from the Riverside Levee Marina and carry you along the tranquil Sassagoula River.

Meanwhile, over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, you’ll board your carriage at Crockett’s Tavern, which is located in the main area of the resort near Pioneer Hall. 

No matter which resort you choose, your carriage ride will cost you $65 plus tax. This is a flat fee that includes up to four adults, or two adults and up to three children.

Holiday Sleigh Rides at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Fancy a holiday sleigh ride? Yeah, me too! 

If you’re visiting Disney World during the holiday season, you’ll have the option to upgrade your carriage ride to a festive Holiday Sleigh Ride! 

No, you won’t be touring a “winter wonderland” (it IS Florida, after all) — but your 25-minute sleigh ride will guide you along the resort’s scenic trails. Keep your eyes peeled, and you may even spot some festive holiday decorations throughout the campground!

Priced at $80 plus tax per sleigh ride, this festive option comes at a slight upcharge from the standard carriage ride. But if you’re looking to make some unforgettable holiday memories, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!

Wilderness Back Trail Adventure at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, outdoor activities are the name of the game! But if you thought the only way to explore the resort was by horseback….well, I’ve got news for you! 

With the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure, guests 16 and older can check out all the natural beauty of this gorgeous resort from the comfort of their very own Segway X2!

For this exciting Enchanting Extra, you’ll receive 30 minutes of Segway instruction before heading out to explore the resort on this fast and fun all-terrain vehicle.

The 2-hour tour includes stops at the stables of Tri-Circle-D Ranch and Disney’s beautiful Bay Lake, where you’ll stop and pose for pictures.

This unique Disney World experience will run you between $90 and $99 per person plus tax, and is available on select days only. Be sure to check the calendar on your My Disney Experience app for advance reservations.

Sangria University at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

If you’re anything like me, a visit to Disney World means delicious food and some seriously spectacular sips. And if my beverage comes in the form of sangria? Well, that’s all the better!

So if you love sangria as much as I do, you will LOVE Sangria University over at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Held each weekend on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, this 2-hour experience dives into the history of sangria and explores the flavors that make it all so magical!

After the lesson, you’ll sample four distinct and delicious sangria varieties, along with a light appetizer. Finally, you’ll try your hand at creating your very own sangria recipe!

Currently, this Enchanting Extra takes place at Three Bridges Bar and Grill. However, beginning December 13, 2025, Sangria University will be held at Toledo — Tapas, Steak, & Seafood. 

Prices start at $59 per person (plus tax), but vary by date. Guests can check prices and make advance reservations through the MyDisneyExperience app.

Spanish Mosaic Art at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Sometimes, it’s all about making your own magic — even in Disney World! And at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, you can do exactly that with the Spanish Mosaic Art experience!

Whether you’re on the hunt for a rest day activity or you’re itching to indulge your creative side, this artsy Enchanting Extra option is always a fabulous choice.

On Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday afternoons between 1 PM and 3 PM, guests can fire up their imaginations at Dahlia Lounge, located on the 16th floor of Gran Destino Tower.

Here, you’ll create a beautiful Disney-themed keepsake inspired by the colorful mosaics of Barcelona, Spain. You’ll even receive a special carry case so you can safely transport it home!

Priced at $30 per person plus tax, the Spanish Mosaic Art experience is one of Disney World’s most affordable — and memorable — Enchanting Extras. Be sure to make your reservations online in advance!

Starlight Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

It’s no secret that Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of the VERY best attractions in Disney World.

But if you’ve ever wanted to experience the safari after dark, you may have been disappointed to learn that Kilimanjaro Safari typically closes before sundown.

But did you know that there’s another way to enjoy a Disney World safari at night? Yup, it’s true! All you have to do is head over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to check out the Starlight Safari!

With this hour-long nighttime expedition, you’ll tour the resort’s spectacular savannas in a rugged, open-sided vehicle. And with the aid of a special night vision device, you’ll see the savanna’s giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and more, all in a whole new way!

Intended for guests 8 and older, Starlight Safari runs twice each night at 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM. This extra-special tour departs from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Kidani Village and will cost between $89 and $99 per person (plus tax), depending on your chosen date.
