A Guide to Disney’s Enchanting Extras Collection: Disney Springs and Beyond
When you imagine a Disney World vacation, what do you picture first? Fireworks? Thrill rides? Characters? Or maybe it’s the copious amount of tasty treats and sweets you plan to indulge in on your visit (I know it’s not just me!).
Magic Kingdom Popcorn

What exactly do I mean by that? Well, for starters, there are a WHOLE bunch of underrated, under-the-radar attractions in Disney World that I highly suggest you check out on your next visit.

Umbrella Rentals at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is a HOPPING place. With thrilling water slides and its very own tidal wave pool, the fun is nearly endless!

Photo: Disney
Of course, a busy day in the hot sun can really wear a person out. And while there are always plenty of loungers available for free at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, shade can be a little harder to come by.
Fortunately, you can always rent an umbrella to ensure that you and your family have some much-needed shade!

Loungers at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Prices vary by date, so if you’re visiting during the “peak” season, your umbrella will cost $99 plus tax for the full day. Otherwise, you can snag one for $49 (plus tax).
For the price, you’ll get your beach umbrella, two reserved lounge chairs, a drink table, and towels.

Ready to hang ten in Disney World? At Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, surfers can put their skills to the test in the park’s iconic wave pool!

Guests can choose from the Open Surf option, where you share the pool with other surfers, or the Private Surf option, which gives you the whole pool to yourself!

Both options are available early in the morning before the park opens AND in the evenings, after the park closes.
In a Morning Open Surf or a Morning Private Surf, your experience will last three hours between 6:30 AM and 9:30 AM. For an Evening Surf, you’ll check in at the main entrance 30 minutes before closing and surf for a total of 3 hours.

Other Enchanting Extra Experiences
So far, we’ve talked about Enchanting Extras options at the Disney theme parks, water parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. But these final Enchanting Extras are a little more off the grid! Let’s take a look!

Lake Buena Vista Golf Course at Disney’s Old Saratoga Springs & Spa
Miniature Golf
In Disney World, there are plenty of low-key activities to add some excitement to your rest day — and one of my favorites is miniature golf!

Winter Course with Snow Castle
In Disney World, you’ll find two separate miniature golf courses, each with two magical courses!
Inspired by holidays, Christmas, and Santa himself, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course is located right next door to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park.

Photo: Disney
To get there, take the bus to Disney’s Blizzard Beach — or, if Blizzard Beach is closed, consider driving yourself or taking a Minnie van.

Minnie Van
Meanwhile, Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf Course is fortunately a little easier to get to.

Fantasia Gardens Dancing Hippos
This Disney-themed golf course is located within walking distance of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club Resorts, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel. This means you can even get there on foot by walking out the back entrance of EPCOT (also known as International Gateway)!

Whichever course you choose, you’re sure to enjoy a magical competition with your nearest and dearest.

Walk-ups are always welcome at both Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens and Fairway. However, guests can also make advance reservations by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.
Golf Courses
The truth is, vacation looks different for everyone – especially when that vacation is in Disney World! For some of us, a magical vacation means Rope Drop, Lightning Lane strategies, and VERY comfortable shoes.
For others, it means 18 holes on a quiet, rolling golf course. Idyllic, right?

Avid golfers will be happy to know that Disney World is home to four world-class golf courses: Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, Disney’s Palm Golf Course, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course.

Mickey Mouse Golf Cart
Located across the street from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (and adjacent to Shades of Green), Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is an incredible 18-hole course that features “Grumpy’s Gauntlet” — the challenging set of holes you’ll find between Hole 14 and Hole 17.

Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course
Meanwhile, Disney’s Palm Golf Course is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Redesigned by the Arnold Palmer Company back in 2013, this 9-hole course offers water hazards and a total of 59 bunkers. You’ll even enjoy views of Disney’s most tropical resort!

Even More Magical Courses…
Next, we’ve got Disney’s beautiful Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, which is situated adjacent to Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.

Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course at Disney’s Saratoga Springs & Spa
Host of the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour, and USGA events, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is a world-class, 18-hole course surrounded by peaceful ponds and palmetto palms.

Finally, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course rounds out the collection with nine more holes!

Golf Lessons
While 18-hole courses are ideal for experienced golfers, novices may benefit from a lesson before they tee off. Fortunately, kids, tweens, teens, and adults can all participate in a Professional Golf Lesson at one of Disney’s beautiful golf courses.

Photo: Disney
With this family-friendly Enchanting Extra, you’ll enjoy a private, 45-minute lesson with a skilled golf instructor. The lesson includes a coaching session with a PGA professional, along with personalized feedback and even a super-helpful video analysis (shoe rental and club rental are also included).
Lessons can be booked on an individual or group basis, and half-day and full-day golf schools are also available.

A fantastic experience for all ages, Golf Lessons generally run daily between 8 AM and 4 PM. Prices will vary depending on the type of lesson you book. Click HERE for more information!

If there’s one Enchanting Extra that is truly the creme de la creme, it’s Disney’s Private VIP Tour!
