PHOTOS: The Iconic Muppet*Vision 3D Marquee Has Finally Been Removed
A significant era in the history of Disney’s Hollywood Studios came to an end earlier this year, when Muppet*Vision 3D and the rest of Muppets Courtyard closed.
As announced at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the Muppets are being evicted for the creation of Monsters, Inc., a new Monsters, Inc. themed land.

After 35 years, the Muppets no longer had a home at Hollywood Studios.
Construction on Monstropolis Is Underway
Over the past several months, we have watched as construction walls went up and Muppets Courtyard was deconstructed.

During that time, we saw Stage 1 demolished, exterior decor removed, and the Gonzo clock tower figure taken down.
The last time we checked in, the iconic Muppet*Vision 3D marquee had been covered in a black tarp.

Now, we are back with another update!
The Muppet*Vision 3D Marquee Is Gone
When visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, we could see that the Muppet*Vision 3D marquee has now been removed.

With the removal of the entrance sign, the former Muppet*Vision Theater is now bare.

As the building is being transformed into The Glob, it is unlikely we will see many exterior changes.

Here is one last look at the current state of the building.

It is a bizarre sight to see.

Now, however, it is time to turn our attention ahead to the creation of Monstropolis.
