It’s almost time for the spookiest holiday of them all! Halloween is this Friday, and we’ve been celebrating the season since August at the Disney Parks with parties, food, decorations, and so much more.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Over the weekend, we got to celebrate a little outside of the parks in an absolutely iconic location! Come with us to see a Halloween classic at the Hollywood Bowl.
The Nightmare Before Christmas at the Hollywood Bowl
Disney and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas was recently in concert for two nights only at the Hollywood Bowl!

The performance featured live singing and a full orchestra, and we got to check it out!

Before the performance began, guests could go trick-or-treating throughout the venue!

Here’s a look at one of the stations.

We got a LOT of candy!

There was also a costume contest hosted by actor and comedian Greg Proops, one of the original voices from the movie.

And we saw a bunch of merch!

We saw some merch for Oogie Boogie…

…Jack Skellington…

…Jack and Sally…

…and more!

The show started with conductor John Mauceri playing the score of The Skeleton Dance.

This was then followed by the Nightmare Before Christmas overture and images of the concept art from the movie.

The performance consisted of some special guests singing the iconic songs from the movie! Danny Elfman sang as Jack, Janelle Monae sang as Sally, Keith David sang as Oogie Boogie, Riki Lindhome sang as Shock, and John Stamos sang as Lock.

In addition to the live orchestra playing the score throughout the movie…

…there was also special lighting and projections to enhance the experience.

The night ended with a performance of Oingo Boingo’s classic “Dead Man’s Party.”

It was a very cool experience and a great way to celebrate the iconic movie 10 years since its first show at the Hollywood Bowl!

Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
