The Frontierland Sign Has Once Again Returned to Magic Kingdom
If you have visited Walt Disney World this year, you have likely seen that Frontierland is in the midst of a major transformation.
Over the last two and a half years, we have seen the closure of the Frontierland Shootin’ Gallery, the removal of the original Country Bear Jamboree, the demolition of Tom Sawyer Island, and the draining of the Rivers of America.

Tom Sawyer Update
Additionally, we have seen the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the closure of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a year-long refurbishment.

Needless to say, the Frontierland of today looks vastly different from how it has for the previous 50 years.
Frontierland Sign Refurbishments
Against their backdrop, the Frontierland entrance sign was removed earlier this year. Because so many changes have been taking place throughout the Western land, many wondered if Disney would rename the area.

Thankfully, it turned out not to be true.
Earlier this year, the Frontierland sign returned in all its glory. Then, in August, it was suddenly gone again.
Since that time, the iconic Frontierland sign has been missing.

Now, however, I am pleased to report that our long national nightmare is over, and the sign has returned.
Welcome to Frontierland
When visiting Magic Kingdom today, we were thrilled to see that the Frontierland entrance sign near Liberty Square has returned.

As you can see, the sign looks like it always has.
Based on what we can tell, the Frontierland sign was simply refurbished.

Fall flourishes also hang above the sign.
Here is one last look.

As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
