A Severe Thunderstorm Warning Has Been Issued For Walt Disney World; Numerous Attractions Closed
If you have been visiting Walt Disney World this week, or just reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that it has been a rainy few days in Central Florida.
Yesterday, we brought you the news that Walt Disney World was under a Flood Watch. While that watch has continued, the situation has not merited a Flood Warning.
Now, however, the National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for South Central Lake County and Southwestern Orange County.

That area includes Walt Disney World.
What We Know
According to the National Weather Service, at 5:12 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lake Louisa, roughly 10 miles west of Bay Lake.

At last reporting, the storm was moving northeast at 35 mph.
Numerous Attractions Have Closed
With thunderstorms in the area, numerous outdoor attractions across Walt Disney World have closed.

Numerous attractions have closed.
These include the Tomorrowland Speedway, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Barnstormer, Expedition Everest, and the Maharajah Jungle Trek.

Other closed attractions include the Joureny of Water, inspired by Moana, and Slinky Dog Dash.
Rain Will Continue Throughout the Evening
The Severe Weather Storm Watch will continue until 5:45 PM EDT, while rain is expected until 8:00 PM ET.
Hopefully, the closed attractions reopen soon.
