Disney Files New Permits For Storybook Circus Refurbishment
If you have been reading along at MickeyBlog this year, you know that it has been a time of change at Magic Kingdom.
Over the course of the last eleven months, we have seen Big Thunder Mountain Railroad close for a year-long refurbishment, the Rivers of America drained, and Tom Sawyer Island demolished.

Additionally, we have seen numerous projects kick off in Tomorrowland, including the refurbishment of the Astro Orbiter, the creation of a new Cool Ship, and an update to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

Now, it looks like we can add another refurbishment to the list.
Permits Have Been Filed For Storybook Circus
Early this morning, Disney filed two new permits for construction in Storybook Circus.

Two new permits have been filed for construction in Storybook Circus
The new documents assign the work to Birdair, Inc., a contractor specializing in the design and construction of custom textile fabric structures.
While the work is associated with the tents that house Big Top Souvenirs and Pete’s Silly Sideshow, it is unclear whether the refurbishment will be a simple refresh or something more substantial.

The permits simply call for “general construction.”
An Extended Time Frame
It should be noted, however, that the permits do not expire until December 31, 2026. That gives Disney plenty of time to undertake a larger project.

The permits call for a tent refurbishment.
For now, we will have to wait and see.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
