Disney Destiny Begins Transatlantic Journey to Florida
Today is the day! The Disney Destiny has officially begun her journey across the Atlantic, marking one of the final milestones before joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet in Florida.

Built at the renowned Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, the Disney Destiny was officially delivered to Disney Cruise Line on October 15, 2025, following a special maritime ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands.

The event marked the formal handover of the ship from the shipbuilders to Disney leadership, including Disney Signature Experiences President Joe Schott and Captain Andy McRonald.
After navigating 20 miles down the winding River Ems and completing a series of sea trials, the Destiny is now making her way to her new homeport at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
