Spaceship Earth’s Entrance Sign’s Glowing Effect Has Been Restored
If you have been paying attention over the last several months, you may have noticed that there have been refurbishments across EPCOT, restoring the park’s pavilions and attractions to their former glory.
From SeaBase Alpha to Living with the Land, we have seen numerous “minor” effects repaired, many of which have not been working for years.
With that in mind, I would like to turn your attention to Spaceship Earth, where another effect is now shining in all its glory.
The Spaceship Earth Entrance Sign Is Once Again Glowing
When visiting World Celebration today, we were thrilled to see that the Spaceship Earth entrance sign was once again glowing.
The lighting effect surrounding the attraction’s main sign has been non-functional for a while now. While never a major detail, seeing the sign light up again is really exciting!
The repaired light-up sign has debuted just weeks before Spaceship Earth itself reopens.
The Attraction Will Reopen on October 15
As we previously reported, the attraction closed on August 25 and is expected to reopen on October 25, 2025.

Unlike Disney’s previous plans, which called for a complete refresh of the attraction, the current refurbishment is expected ot include routine maintenance and infrastructure improvements.
Hopefully, the restored light-up sign indicates that Disney has spent this time fixing the attraction’s interior effects, many of which have also not been working for years.
