The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Has Big Plans For MCO and ORL
According to a new report from the Orlando Business Journal, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) board is working on a master plan that will radically change Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) over the next 10 years.
During an October 8 presentation, leaders laid out their plans to achieve a set of goals which were attached to five or ten year targets

According to the master plan, 100,000 visitors would utilize the space annually.
Additionally, by 2030, the GOAA wants to add 8,000 parking spaces to MCO and grow the Business Incubator at MCO program to increase the number of small businesses having contracts at the airport by 40%

Finally, the goal is for the airport to complete its Terminal C expansion by 2035.
Orlando Executive Airport and Broader Goals
Turning to Orlando Executive Airport, the GOAA has a goal of filling 60% of the current vacant real estate space by 2035.

On a broader scale, the GOAA plans to develop one new cargo processing plant and have an established AAM vertiport by 2030.
Additionally, the authority aims to achieve an employee engagement score of 90% within five years.

Finally, administrators want to see non-flight revenue increase at both Orlando airports by 30% by 2030.
Following last week’s presentation, airport executives are expected to meet again on October 15 to sign off on the plan.
