Michael Moriarty Has Been Named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Disney Experiences

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro has announced that Michael Moriarty will replace Kevin Lansberry as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Disney Experiences.

Lansberry will be retiring from The Walt Disney Company next February after a 39-year career with Disney.

Lansberry’s Illustrious Disney Career

For almost four decades, Kevin Lansberry was a constant presence in Disney Experiences, beginning his career in various roles at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

In 2007, Lansberry was named Vice President of Downtown Disney. He would later hold numerous positions, including Vice President of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Travel Operations, Senior Vice President of Revenue Management & Analytics for Parks & Resorts, and Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.

From July through December 2023, the Disney executive also served as Interim CFO of The Walt Disney Company while Christine McCarthy was on leave.

Enter Michael Moriarty

Replacing Lansberry will be Michael Moriarty, who is currently the President and Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland.

Prior to that, he served as CFO of Walt Disney Imagineering and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

“Michael Moriarty brings a deep understanding of our long-term strategy to broaden the reach and impact of Disney Experiences,” said D’Amaro. “His global perspective and leadership will help guide us through an exciting chapter of growth, reaching new fans in new places and on new platforms.”

At this time, Disney has not announced who will succeed Moriarty at Hong Kong Disneyland.
