Disney and Make-A-Wish Make 5-Year-Old’s Disney World Wish Come True
For 45 years now, The Walt Disney Company and Make-A-Wish have partnered to grant more than 165,000 wishes for children around the world.
As the largest wish-granter in the world, Disney has shown a unique dedication to using its brand to make magic for those who are facing critical childhood illnesses.

On average, Disney grants a wish every hour of every day.
“We’re enormously proud of Disney’s relationship with Make-A-Wish, which dates back nearly 45 years to the first official wish at Disneyland,” Bob Iger, Disney CEO, said earlier this year.

Disney Store Ontario Mills arranged a shopping spree and princess makeovers for two sisters and wish kids Kehlani and Camila.
“It’s a privilege to use the power of Disney’s stories and characters to lift children’s spirits when they need it most. We’re honored to work with Make-A-Wish to grant a Disney wish every hour of every day.”
Remy’s Story
The latest recipient of a Disney wish was five-year-old Remy from Quincy, IL.
In October 2023, Remy suffered a seizure at school, which caused brain damage. Subsequently, he was diagnosed with a critical neurological illness and muscular dystrophy.

“That boy is the true definition of a hero. To me, to many people. I know an adult can’t go through some of the stuff he goes through. Can’t have just a list of medical complexities that this little boy has, and still, every day he gets up,” Remy’s mother told ABC’s KHQA.
Off To Walt Disney World
Together, Disney and Make-A-Wish were able to grant Remy’s wish to go on a magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Cinderella Castle
Now, Remy and his family will set out for The Most Magical Place on Earth this Friday. That is a reason for everyone involved to celebrate.
“Right now, as an organization, we are granting wishes every 30 minutes to children all over the United States, and it feels so good to put a smile on someone’s face who’s potentially going through a lot,” said Cathy Brogdon, a Make-A-Wish volunteer.
