The Abu Statue Has Returned to the Adventureland Entrance Sign
If you have been following along here at MickeyBlog this year, you know that Magic Kingdom has been undergoing numerous dramatic changes this year.
Things began early this year with the closure of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a year-long refurbishment.

From there, we saw the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island close in preparation for the creation of Piston Peak.

Additionally, Tomorrowland has undergone numerous refurbishments, including the renovation of Astro Orbiter, the update of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and the creation of a new Cool Ship.
Adventureland’s Refurbishment
Amid all these changes, Adventureland has quietly seen a refurbishment of its own.

Last month, we brought you the news that the refurbished entrance sign had returned, complete with its tropical decor.

There was, however, one element that was still missing.
The Abu Statue Has Returned
Since the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration kicked off in 2021, a golden Fab 50 Abu statue has greeted guests as they entered Adventureland.

While the Adventureland entrance sign was being refurbished, the Abu statue was temporarily moved to the back of the bridge.

Now, it is my pleasure to announce that the statue once again sits atop the entrance sign.

Abu has returned to his rightful place near the Adventureland entrance sign.
Here is a closer look at Abu after being restored to his proper home.

The entire Adventureland entrance looks great!
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
