New Carpet & Furniture Installed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney World has many areas that are simultaneously under construction, so it’s exciting to see big progress happening on a project because that means it’s getting closer to being completed!
Grand Floridian Lobby
We’ve been keeping an eye on the major refurbishment happening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa lately — the lobby is getting a makeover! And today, we noticed some major progress happening at the resort.

New carpet has been installed in the Grand Floridian lobby!
For reference, here is what the carpet previously looked like…
…and here is the new carpet!
It has way more blue in it than the previous carpet.
This carpet is very bright and beautiful!
We think it matches the theming of the Grand Floridian pretty well.
And, it matches the new carpet we recently saw installed on the staircase in the lobby.
There is also a bunch of new furniture that has been put in the lobby!

Much of this furniture is also more colorful and updated…
…while still matching the elegant vibes of the hotel.
There are a variety of seating arrangements in the lobby now.

We love to see this space finally coming together!
The entire lobby is blocked off to guests right now as work continues, but the check-in desks are open at the front!
The elevator has also been repainted and has a new design!
It’s absolutely stunning.
