Price Increases Hit Minnie Ears, Loungefly Bags, Pins & More Merchandise at Disney World
We hate to say it, folks, but it would appear that a storm of price increases has just struck through the stores of Walt Disney World.
During today’s shopping trip through the Magic Kingdom, our MickeyBlog reporters noticed that the cost of some classic items had spiked overnight… and it looks like it’s affecting the most popular merchandise guests tend to purchase on their Disney Parks visits.

Loungefly Backpacks
At the start of the month, MickeyBlog reported that the cost of standard, adult-sized graphic t-shirts had been increased here at Disney. Now, we’re seeing more items have also gone up…and we’re starting the recap right here with Loungefly backpacks.
Always a popular must-have among fashion-conscious Disney guests, these bags were already pricey. But how much have they gone up by now?
Well, we’re pleased to report that most styles of backpacks remain at the same cost as before, at $80 per backpack. This covers most styles of Loungefly mini backpacks, including those with or without mouse ears!
Keep in mind that this could change as price increases continue to roll out.
The popular sequinned varieties of Loungefly bags have, however, indeed suffered a price spike, and will now set guests back $100 per bag.

Mouse Ear Headbands
Always a popular must-have among guests of all ages are the classic mouse ear headbands. Unfortunately, we’ve noticed these now cost $36.99, an increase of $2 from $34.99!
Disney Pins
Unfortunately, Disney Pin trading and collecting is rather addictive, so our wallets are sure to feel any price hike when it comes to these sweet souvenirs!
Pins are usually priced using a different color code, with each color corresponding to a different amount. We’ve noticed that these figures have also altered, going up by $2-3 each. The new prices read as follows:
- Silver: $14.99 (was $12.99)
- Yellow: $17.99 (was $14.99)
- Pink: $19.99 (was $16.99)
Jewelry
Lastly, we found that Disney jewelry pieces have also gone up in price, in a similar way to the pin pricing structure. Now, the color-coded prices have been increased by $2-3, with the new pricing as follows:
- Violet: $19.99 (was $17.99)
- Tan: $21.99 (was $19.99)
- Emerald: $24.99 (was $21.99)
- Rose: $29.99 (was $26.99)
Well, there we have it!
Of course, price hikes are never fun to report on, but they are something of a necessary evil here at Walt Disney World.
