Walt Disney World Wait Times for Early October 2025
Viral reports have suggested year-low attendance at Walt Disney World.
Well, that’s something we can easily determine. So, let’s fact-check these anecdotal reports.

Here are Walt Disney World’s wait times for early October 2025.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Here’s the deal. According to some reports, Walt Disney World is experiencing its lowest crowds of the year.
Those of you who read this article each week – Thank you! – know why that’s the case.

Disney theme parks don’t have an offseason per se, but September’s the closest thing to it.
Historically, I would have said January and September qualify as Disney World’s slowest months.

However, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has boosted attendance enough to change that.
At this point, even the vaunted EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival doesn’t have enough juice to help September.

I should mention that calendar configuration plays a factor in these discussions, though.
So, we could be looking at a case where the end of September and start of October represent low tide.

EPCOT 2025 Food & Wine Festival
We’ll figure that out with this week’s data. Honestly, I’ll be surprised if it’s lower than what we tracked four weeks ago, though.
Had the articles been written then, they would have been valid. But nobody was mad at Disney then.

Tree of Life
Here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times for the past week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 44 minutes, down 12

Triceratop Spin
Overall, Animal Kingdom guests happily waited for just an average of 24 minutes per attraction.
That’s nine minutes less than last time. For the sake of authenticity, I’ll include something else.
An Ilm can be spotted on Avatar: Flight of Passage
That’s also three minutes less what we tracked during the first week of September.
So, these reports, while annoying, have something to them, at least at Animal Kingdom.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Let’s check the other parks for comparison. I’m going to leave out the conversation and focus on the data.
This is an important story and deserves a bit more of a hard look than usual with wait times.

Overall, the average Hollywood Studios attraction required a wait of 34 minutes.
That’s three minutes less than last time and one minute less than in early September.

Thus far, there is data to support that this was the slowest week of the year at half the parks.
EPCOT

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
We still have two more parks to track, and they’re the most popular ones at Disney World.
That fact actually makes them more susceptible to declines, though.

Comparing this data to the previous lowest week of the year, it’s actually two minutes higher.

Across three parks so far, we’re down three minutes overall.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Magic Kingdom guests waited for an average of 22 minutes, which is three minutes less than last time.
Note that this is one minute higher than the one a month ago. So, Magic Kingdom is up from then.

In terms of data, two of the parks are up slightly from that low point, while the other two are down slightly.
In totality, Walt Disney World’s average wait times were slightly lower this past week than then.

So, yes, even though the story was ragebait, it is based in some fact.
This past week probably was the least crowded one at Disney World. It definitely was at Animal Kingdom.
