A New ‘Tangled’ Scene Is Coming to the Storybook Land Canal Boats
If you ask me, no trip to Disneyland is complete without a ride on the Storybook Land Canal Boats.
An opening-day Disneyland attraction, the Storybook Land Canal Boats were born out of Walt Disney’s love for miniatures.

Initially, the attraction was titled “Canal Boats of the World” and took guests on a serene cruise past some of the world’s notable landmarks.
Quickly, however, the attraction was reworked into a magical tour of iconic Disney stories, taking guests past miniature vignettes based on Snow White, Cinderella, The Wind in the Willows, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, the Old Mill, and The Three Little Pigs.

Each scene was recreated at 1:12 scale and surrounded by beautifully cultivated horticulture.
Later Additions
Over the years, new scenes based on Disney animated classics such as Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen have been added to the Storybook Land Canal Boats.

Now, as Disneyland celebrates its 70th anniversary, a new chapter in the attraction’s history is being written.
A New ‘Tangled’ Scene Will Debut Later This Year!
When the Storybook Land Canal Boats reopens this winter, the attraction will debut a new scene inspired by Tangled!

Between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall, guests will sail by Rapunzel’s Tower, which will be surrounded by a selection of flora.
In addition to the iconic turret, the Tangled scene will include numerous Easter eggs, including wanted posters seeking Flynn Rider. Each poster even has a different description of the outlaw’s nose!

Additionally, a new secluded dock will be included in the scene, sitting on the water’s edge by the canal. The dock will be framed by a trail of lights, which winds up the trellis on the bridge.
A Changing Soundtrack
Finally, when the boats pass by during the daytime, guests will hear a whimsical arrangement of “When Will My Life Begin?”

At night, “I See the Light” will emanate from Rapunzel’s tower as winking lights flicker overhead.
What a great way to celebrate Disneyland’s 70th anniversary!
