In case you haven’t checked your calendar, today is a big day for Disney anniversaries!
On this day 54 years ago, the Magic Kingdom opened its gates, welcoming guests to The Most Magical Place on Earth.

While perhaps not as significant a milestone as the Disneyland 70 Celebration, which continues to roll on in California, Walt Disney fans certainly have reason to celebrate!
The Magic Kingdom 54th Anniversary Pin
Guests visiting Magic Kingdom today have the opportunity to commemorate the park’s anniversary by picking up an exclusive pin!
By the time that we arrived in Frontierland this morning, around 250 people had already begun lining up for the new pin.
As of this morning, the line went from Frontierland, through Liberty Square, and all the way to the hub.
Needless to say, fans are excited!

The Magic Kingdom’s 54th anniversary pin essentially recreates the happy birthday pins that Cast Members give out to guests.
The Big Moment
After waiting in line, we finally arrived at Frontier Trading, where the pins are being distributed.
After all that waiting, we finally got the pin!

Needless to say, the line was totally worth it.
