Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Debuts New and Improved Beach Chairs
Since June 1, 1989, guests have flocked to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park for some fun in the sun.
Best known as the home of one of the largest outdoor wave pools in the world, Typhoon Lagoon has become beloved for its water slides, lazy river, and family-style raft rides.
Between Crush ‘n’ Gusher, Miss Adventure Falls, and the water sides of Mount Mayday, there is a TON to do!

If you are like me, however, the best part of Typhoon Lagoon is finding a lounge chair, immersing yourself in the environment, and relaxing.
Typhoon Lagoon’s New Chairs
If your ideal trip to Typhoon Lagoon includes some lounging in the sun, I have great news!
The water park has debuted new beach chairs that are vastly superior to their predecessors.
As you may recall, the old Typhoon Lagoon beach chairs were made of plastic straps.
They were not the most comfortable lounge chairs.
The new loungers, however, are covered in fabric and are MUCH more comfortable.
Two Styles
There are currently two kinds of seats — the traditional beach chair and the longer loungers.
Here is another look!
In addition to being more comfortable, the new chairs are also more aesthetically pleasing.
I, for one, can’t wait to pull up a new chair, stick my toes in the sand, and watch the waves cascade down from Mount Mayday.
