Shanghai Disneyland Begins Attraction Installation for New Spider-Man Land
Exciting news, Marvel fans! Shanghai Disneyland is one step closer to welcoming thrills into the world of Spider-Man.
This week, the resort installed the first vertical steel column for its brand-new Spider-Man-themed land, officially kicking off attraction installation.

Construction began in May 2025 and continues to progress smoothly.
Once complete, this will be Shanghai Disneyland’s ninth themed land and the first boasting a major Marvel attraction. Fans will love the high-energy thrill coaster featuring Spider-Man.
Guests will also enjoy immersive shopping, dining, and entertainment options that bring Spider-Man’s story to life.
Major Expansion
The Spider-Man-themed land is the latest in a series of expansions at Shanghai Disney Resort. Since opening, the park has introduced Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land and the fan-favorite Zootopia land.
This new addition will become the third expansion, and fans are ready.

Beyond Spider-Man, Shanghai Disney Resort is also expanding its other offerings. A third Disney-themed hotel is under construction near Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, and the resort is also enhancing Soaring Over the Horizon with increased capacity.
The resort is also building a new residential community to support its cast members.
