The Downtown Disney District is a great place to enjoy Disneyland without a park ticket! The planDisney Panelists, David and Adrianna, discussed their must-do experiences in Downtown Disney.
The merchandise locations were a top contender! You can buy everything from Disney keepsakes at World of Disney to unique artwork at WonderGround Gallery.

If you’re hungry, this is the place to be, as there are dozens of dining options! You can check out Earl of Sandwich of Tiendita for something quick or go for a sit-down spot like Din Tai Fung or Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes.
There are also great dessert spots, like Beignets Expressed and Salt & Straw.

To have even more fun, they recommend checking out bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. When the sun sets, you can catch some live entertainment at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage.
They also recommend using the Disneyland app while exploring Downtown Disney — you can use it to scan and pay for merchandise, look at restaurant menus, place mobile orders, and more. See their video on Downtown Disney right here!

Dine at the Disneyland Hotels
You can also find some excellent food at the Disneyland Resort Hotels! The planDisney Panelists, Tara and Adrianna, shared where you should eat at the hotels.
For something fast, they suggested Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at Disneyland Hotel, GCH Craftsman Grill at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and The Sketch Pad Cafe at Pixar Place Hotel.

If you’re looking for a sit-down meal with some Disney magic, Tara and Adrianna recommend character dining like Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel! Here, you can find an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet with Disney characters walking around.
Or, over at Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand Californian, there are seasonal character dining experiences that include special outfits and festive touches throughout the year.

Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner
There are also several special lounges in the hotels, like Hearthstone Lounge, which has great food and a whiskey library. You can also imbibe at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Hotel, which is a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
And remember, you don’t have to be staying at these hotels to enjoy their dining options! But, advances reservations are highly recommended for table service options. You can see the full video of the panelists’ favorite hotel dining options right here!
