How Captain Andy Went From the British Merchant Navy to Helming the Disney Wonder

While the Disney Cruise Line is renowned for its state-of-the-art ships, immersive environments, and unparalleled excursions, anyone who has ever set sail with Disney knows that it is the Cast Members who make the voyages so magical.

With that in mind, I would like to turn the spotlight to Captain Andy, who helps the Disney Wonder.

Reporting live from Ketchikan, Alaska, Andy shared a little bit of his backstory.

Andy’s Story

After starting his career in the British Merchant Navy, Andy made the move to the Disney Cruise Line.

“Once you see a Disney Cruise Ship, there is nowhere else you want to work,” he explained.

Growing up in the northeast of Scotland in a small fishing town, the sea was in Captain Andy’s blood.
