PHOTOS: Large Crane Arrives in DinoLand as Tropical Americas Construction Ramps Up
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog this year, you know that we have been closely following the development of Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Announced at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event as a replacement for DinoLand, U.S.A., the new land will transport guests to Peublo Esperanza, where they will find attractions based on Indiana Jones and Encanto.

To give fans the opportunity to say goodbye to DinoLand, U.S.A., the area will close in phases. In January, the ball got rolling with the demolition of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama.
Then, earlier this month, the countdown to extinction struck zero for The Boneyard.

The last time we checked in, the Oldengate Bridge had been demolished as construction continued throughout most of DinoLand.

Now, we are back with another update!
The Latest From DinoLand
When visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, we noticed that a large crane has arrived in DinoLand, U.S.A.

Towering over the former location of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama (roughly where TriceraTop Spin was once located), the new construction equipment signals that a new phase in the project has begun.

As you can see, the crane looms large over DinoLand.

Here is another look.

The concept art for Pueblo Esperanza is still in place.

With construction on Tropical Americas continuing to ramp up, we can expect to see more equipment arrive on site.

As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
