Walt Disney World Wait Times for the Third Week of September 2025
We’ve officially entered the fall season, and its first few days are typically slow at theme parks.
Tourism suffers when kids are back in school, and many people spend their weekends watching football.

Did this impact Disney last week? Here are the Walt Disney World wait times for the third week of September 2025.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Tree of Life
The first two parks we discuss are ones undergoing dramatic changes right now, as is the final one.
Currently, only EPCOT will maintain status quo for the foreseeable future. Everything else is in flux.

DINOSAUR
At Animal Kingdom, the countdown has started for the extinction of DinoLand USA.
Despite this fact, we haven’t tracked much of a rush to experience DINOSAUR one last time.

Expedition Everest
While I love the attraction and will miss it dearly, most guests aren’t acting like it’s something they’ll miss.
If they were, the wait times would be up dramatically. Instead, it’s been the opposite.

Here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times last week, which proves the point:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 58 minutes, up 4
- Na’vi River Journey – 50 minutes, up 2
- Adventurers Outpost – 34 minutes, up 3
- Expedition Everest – 33 minutes, up 6
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 27 minutes, up 1
- Kali River Rapids – 26 minutes, up 6
- DINOSAUR – 20 minutes, down 1

So, that paints a picture, as every attraction increased its average wait time EXCEPT for DINOSAUR.
Overall, guests waited in line for an average of 35 minutes per attraction, which is three minutes more than last time.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Similarly, we’ve got construction happening on one side of Hollywood Studios as well as the middle.
So, fans are ignoring the fact that Muppets Courtyard has vanished from the map.

Muppets Courtyard
They’re also overlooking the current inconveniences at Animation Courtyard since they know something better is coming.
How has that impacted park behavior? Here are the average wait times at Hollywood Studios last week:

That’s two minutes more than last time. So, crowds are trending upward over the past week.
EPCOT

I kinda love what’s happening at EPCOT right now. After years of construction, it’s tranquil.
Sure, the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is ongoing, but everyone loves that.

2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival
The fact that it’s the only park without any chaos right now amuses me. I’ll even force an analogy.
EPCOT right now feels like the one friend in a healthy relationship while everyone else in the group is going through breakups.

Chicken Taquito Ahogado – Paradise Garden Grill
EPCOT’s there for support, companionship, and to get them good and drunk.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love EPCOT? Anyway, here are the park’s average wait times last week:

Final Thoughts
Overall, Magic Kingdom’s attractions averaged a wait of 24 minutes each.
That’s two minutes more than last time, and it raises a larger point about what’s happening.

TRON Lightcycle/Run
When Disney introduced its current tiered admission ticket pricing system, it had a plan.
Disney wanted to normalize theme park attendance throughout the year with controlled pricing.

The concept centered on charging more for admission tickets during more popular times of the year.
Meanwhile, Disney discounted tickets during historically slower periods like September.

Test Track Crowds
That tactic appears to have worked well over the past two weeks at Disney World.
Disney attendance plummeted at the start of the month. Since then, it has steadily recovered.

Of course, I’m basing all this off average wait times rather than actual attendance data, which Disney never releases.
From the data we have, that does appear to be the case, though, and it’s a win for a lot of people.
