Huge changes are on the horizon at the Disney World Resort!

The resort is working on tons of exciting updates and expansions, including Piston Peak (Magic Kingdom’s very own Cars land), an Encanto attraction, the Thunder Mountain refurbishment, and more.
Many of these projects require the closure of beloved attractions, shows, and locations–like Star Wars Launch Bay. Here’s what you need to know about the permanent closure of this galactic experience.

Star Wars Launch Bay will permanently close on September 25th, which means tomorrow is your last chance to experience the offering.

Star Wars Launch Bay offers guests an immersive experience, full of exhibits, scenes from the films, and character meet-and-greets.
The exhibits are a must-see for Star Wars fans, with costumes, models, film props, concept art, and more.

Guests can tour a Cantina and other iconic settings from the films, and meet friends like Chewbacca…
…and foes like Darth Vader.

Occasionally, other characters are available in the area, like Chopper!
So head over to Star Wars Launch Bay to experience the location one final time before it closes.
The Magic of Disney Animation
Star Wars Launch Bay is permanently closing to transform into a place where kids can celebrate and explore animation!
Thanks to the Mickey Sorcerer hat that will top the building, it’ll be hard to miss.

The location will have “silly takes” on the Disney Animation headquarters, with playful and interactive moments–like portraits that come to life!
